Background

When a form is submitted using the 'Submit a Request' function there is dedicated functionality in eDesigner to be able to launch the form in three distinct modes per here:

This is fine for forms being completed by Customer service officers who can be trained to access the form in Submit a Request.

Problem

The ideal place to place the button to start a form for many form types is in a contextual area within 'Get Answers Fast'.

When adding a link to a form from a department in Get Answers Fast there is only one option, which creates an OpenProcess / pre-populates the form with name/address etc. which is the iFrame option.

Solution

We need to provide a button class/helper when adding the necessary HTML to Get Answers Fast, which enables a form to be opened in a new window and still be prepopulated/kick off a process.

This is particularly key for payment forms and forms with maps where the extra screen real estate is more useful.
